SO MANY SMILES AT FAMILY HOUSE

I haven't seen a smile like this one in quite some time. Iliana is so full of life and love. She is hilarious, beautiful and made me laugh a ton. I had seen her at Family House a few weeks before for the first time and was so excited to see her in front of my camera. At Family House, I offer these sessions to whoever can fit it into their schedule. This means that I don't really get to know who is going to be in front of my camera, which is so much different than my typical family sessions where I can prepare more. It almost feels like I'm going on a first date because I get so excited to see who is going to be free that day and which story I get to be apart of. I am so thankful Iliana stepped in front of my camera.

Iliana was 8 years old when she was diagnosed. She was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumor found at the base of the brain.

Iliana was diagnosed on August 1st, 2017 so we’re still learning how to deal. At the very beginning we were overwhelmed with so many emotions it’s all a blur. She is doing fine now, radiation treatments have relieved some of her symptoms.

The only advice we have to give is do whatever YOU think is best for your child and family. Only you can decide what is best for them.
