I talk about different kinds of nonprofits that I love working with to all of friends just to put it out there that I'm looking for nonprofits to partner with. You never know what kind of connections your friends have or even who they just met in line for coffee while you were holding the table! A friend of mine told me how this nonprofit had reached out to them to photograph an event and since she couldn't do it, she thought I would be interested. She was right.
Homeless Prenatal Program, HPP, is dedicated to breaking the cycle of childhood poverty. Children should be able to come home from the hospital. I can't even begin to imagine the stress a mother feels when they have a newborn baby and don't have a place to call home. HPP aims to give support, love and help to all kinds of mothers and families.
I photographed an event for HPP where it was all about celebrating family. It was so great to see kids having fun with a bounce house, face painting, drawing, dancing, playing music and dressing up for a photobooth. Everyone was so friendly and it was so awesome to see kids making new friends, seeing old friends and just having the best time.
