IN HOME SAN FRANCISCO FAMILY SESSION

This family recently moved into their home and wanted their session to be all about their new home. I think it’s so much fun to be in your own environment. We played in mom and dad’s room and then afterwards we went outside to play for a bit and enjoy some rare San Francisco sun. It was such a great time!

KINDER READY CAMP

I loved spending the week at Kinder Ready! This camp is focused on getting kids ready for preschool and/or kindergarten. It’s the perfect camp to end the summer with. There’s coloring, reading, painting, math, playing, and even a pool. This camp has it all!

AUGUST BOOK WRAP UP

This month was the first time I went to a book club! I’m apart of an online book club where we were reading Ask Again, Yes, an in person book club where we read the Night Circus, and a third book club which was silent and we could read whatever we wanted. It has been a pretty bookish month, and I’m really excited to continue to be apart of these book clubs. I also got to read a few books that I’ve been meaning to, a fun romance, and a book of essays I’ve been seeing all over Instagram.

HAWAIIAN THEMED 1ST BIRTHDAY

I loved this fun hawaiian themed first birthday. Is there anything better than getting tropical? Even though the weather turned and pushed this party indoors, these parents still wanted to capture photos. I really love that because it doesn’t have to be perfect for you to hire someone to photograph your family. A few months after I photographed this party, this sweet boy’s grandfather passed away. It really hits me that I capture special moments between family members that will be cherished forever. I’m so thankful to have been able to capture a photo of this little guy with his grandfather who will be forever missed.

IN HOME MATERNITY SESSION

It’s been so exciting to expand out to maternity and newborn sessions! This in home maternity session was such a dream. I loved how relaxed this family was and let their first born run the show. It was perfect! I was so lucky to stop by and meet their newest addition and snap a few photos of him too. I can’t wait to meet more little babes!

JULY BOOK WRAP UP

This has been the first month that I’ve been really using my Kindle, back to back. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not because I can’t do audiobooks, but I’m so happy that I’m loving it! After traveling back in March, I was so frustrated because I was working on a 500+ page book and couldn’t take it with me because it wouldn’t fit in my suitcase or my camera backpack. I just wanted to finish that one and have one or two others incase I finished that one. Is that too much to ask?!

SUNKISSED AT LANDS END

This was such a fun session that was so out of my element. The usual fog left us for intense bright sun with very high winds. My eyes were watering as soon as I got out of the car. This little kiddo was so cold and had watery eyes too (blue eyes can be a curse), but everyone braved the elements for a mini session in front of the bridge. It makes me realize how I want to do more sessions that stretch my creativity.

LOVING ON MOM AT PALACE OF FINE ARTS

I have photographed this family two years in a row and have also seen them at birthday parties. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing clients who you didn’t know were friends. I imagine it’s like seeing couples you photographed at a wedding you’re currently photographing. I loved seeing how strong this mom was also. She lifted up both boys! She is just the greatest and up for anything to get her boys to laugh and have some fun. I loved focusing this session on this sweet mom and all her boys. There’s nothing better.
