SWEET FAMILY OF FOUR IN GOLDEN GATE PARK

This adorable family of four wanted some family photos before they left the Bay Area. As beautiful as San Francisco is, a lot of people I know don't stay in the Bay Area forever. It is such a special treat to be able to photograph families in San Francisco before they set out on their next adventure. If you're moving, let's get some family photos in! When my families move, it's also the best excuse to travel where they go so we can capture new memories.

FAMILY OF FOUR PLUS ONE MORE...DOG

I've been photographing this sweet family for years, and it's been so much fun to see how they all change over the years. I also can't believe that Lauren is taller than me! I also loved that they brought their adorable new pup along and also their grandma who was visiting. She was there to make everyone smile and watch the dog for some photos but of course I had to put her in the shot!

RUNNING AROUND WITH TUCKER

Tucker, who is currently 15 months old, greeted me with the biggest smile. He was so excited to run around outside! He would turn and do these adorable little poses, like a Baby Gap model. I met Tucker at Family House, and he is one sweet kid. He reminds me of every kid I have in front of my camera. I am so thankful to be able to play with Tucker because he has such a playful spirit. He loves to be chased, and I could chase him all day!

ABOUT TO BE FIVE

Olivia is one brave, strong, adventure seeking, beautiful little girl who recently turned five. That is such a big milestone for kids. It means that they're done with preschool and heading into kindergarten, they can tell you specifics about their day, they tell you what they do or do not want to do (probably loudly) and they are coming into their own personalities. Olivia told me she wasn't really that excited to get her photos taken but she was having so much fun she didn't want to leave! That really touched me because these kids are my clients. I want them to have so much fun and not feel like they have to sit still and smile. I want your kids to feel like they are in charge. They can tell us where they want to take their picture. They can decide on making silly faces and then I can guarantee they will give you the smiling photo you love. Five is great and if you don't believe me, just scroll through these.

KITTY THEMED 2ND BIRTHDAY IN KENTFIELD

I love photographing birthdays because kids grow so fast in just a year. I first photographed Violet at her first birthday and she was so shy. She reminds me of me when I was her age. She was clinging to her mom and didn't really want me in her face photographing her every move. This year, she was full of energy! She was smiling at everyone and laughing a ton. This year we were buddies and it made me so happy. I can't wait to see how she changes throughout this year!

BIRTHDAY BUDDIES IN SAN FRANCISCO

This sweet family celebrated two birthdays! It was so cute watching Jocelyn, who just turned one, and her grandfather spend time together. The two are birthday buds, which may explain why they are so insync with each other. Since grandma and grandpa were in town for birthday celebrations, we also grabbed some quick family photos before the party. I can't tell you enough how much I love photos with grandparents!

WATCHING THE SUN RISE WITH A FAMILY OF FOUR

These boys are so adorable and so full of personality! They were such a blast to photograph because they were constantly running around and telling me they were getting donuts after our early morning shoot. We talked about our favorite donuts, and that if they gave me one last smile they could be on their way so the good donuts don't run out. I asked them if they were going to get broccoli donuts and they both yelled YES! Then they realized what they said and laughed and said no no no. Morning sessions are some of my favorites and they go great with chocolate donuts.

PARTY IN THE PARK

This two year old party in the park was so fun! No matter if your party is a huge production or just a family gathering, it makes it so much more memorable with actual photos. I love photographing all kinds of parties. This low key birthday party was great because kids could run around all over the park and that gave the adults time to chat and catch up. It was such a great day, and who doesn't love a side of cake with your bagel!

SAYING GOODBYE TO GOLDEN GATE PARK

Lately I've been getting so many inquiries for family photos because these adorable families are moving away from San Francisco. I think that is the greatest idea! Especially because the families I photograph have mostly young kids, they have routines. This family spent every weekend in a specific part of Golden Gate Park that is so special to them. They wanted to have photos taken here so that they can always remember all the weekends they spent together as a family. It's a wonderful idea, and if you're on your way out of the bay area, let's talk about special memories you have here and how we can incorporate them into your family session!

SO MANY SMILES AT FAMILY HOUSE

I haven't seen a smile like this one in quite some time. Iliana is so full of life and love. She is hilarious, beautiful and made me laugh a ton. I had seen her at Family House a few weeks before for the first time and was so excited to see her in front of my camera. At Family House, I offer these sessions to whoever can fit it into their schedule. This means that I don't really get to know who is going to be in front of my camera, which is so much different than my typical family sessions where I can prepare more. It almost feels like I'm going on a first date because I get so excited to see who is going to be free that day and which story I get to be apart of. I am so thankful Iliana stepped in front of my camera.
