IN HOME MATERNITY SESSION

It’s been so exciting to expand out to maternity and newborn sessions! This in home maternity session was such a dream. I loved how relaxed this family was and let their first born run the show. It was perfect! I was so lucky to stop by and meet their newest addition and snap a few photos of him too. I can’t wait to meet more little babes!

JULY BOOK WRAP UP

This has been the first month that I’ve been really using my Kindle, back to back. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not because I can’t do audiobooks, but I’m so happy that I’m loving it! After traveling back in March, I was so frustrated because I was working on a 500+ page book and couldn’t take it with me because it wouldn’t fit in my suitcase or my camera backpack. I just wanted to finish that one and have one or two others incase I finished that one. Is that too much to ask?!

SUNKISSED AT LANDS END

This was such a fun session that was so out of my element. The usual fog left us for intense bright sun with very high winds. My eyes were watering as soon as I got out of the car. This little kiddo was so cold and had watery eyes too (blue eyes can be a curse), but everyone braved the elements for a mini session in front of the bridge. It makes me realize how I want to do more sessions that stretch my creativity.

LOVING ON MOM AT PALACE OF FINE ARTS

I have photographed this family two years in a row and have also seen them at birthday parties. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing clients who you didn’t know were friends. I imagine it’s like seeing couples you photographed at a wedding you’re currently photographing. I loved seeing how strong this mom was also. She lifted up both boys! She is just the greatest and up for anything to get her boys to laugh and have some fun. I loved focusing this session on this sweet mom and all her boys. There’s nothing better.

THE PETTING ZOO COMES TO THE MARINA

This was my first petting zoo party, and I was so excited to photograph it- especially when I found out that the petting zoo was coming to us! These parents were so brave to bring a whole zoo into their garage. The kids couldn’t have been more in love. It was so great to watch these kids pet and hold all types of animals. I would definitely recommend a petting zoo party at some point!

COZY FAMILY PHOTOS AT HOME IN KENTFIELD

I love home sessions! You might think your house isn’t the best fit because it’s messy, there’s no light, it’s cramped, etc. Your home inside might not have the best light, but you can always go outside! We took a few family photos on the stairs with the front door open for extra light. Then we went outside and found a great spot to cuddle up on. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it’s your family and that’s what makes it perfect.

FAMILY OF FOUR AT THE WHITE ROCKS IN ST GEORGE, UTAH

This was the last family session during my Bounce Like A Boss Workshop. I was so sad to see this workshop end but how insanely gorgeous are these white rocks!? I loved photographing this sweet family. They were so much fun and willing to adventure all around. This is also a great example of how to wear white at a family shoot so it doesn’t look outdated but instead classic. I hope you’ve enjoyed these sessions from the workshop as much as I loved photographing them, but I doubt that’s possible! If you’re a photographer and are looking for a workshop, I highly suggest the Bounce Like A Boss Workshop or anything where BreAnne, Alyssa or Kenny will be! They are so talented!

IN HOME FAMILY SESSION IN ST GEORGE UTAH

The Bounce Like A Boss Workshop was so incredible! I learned so much from BreAnne, Alyssa and Kenny. They were so incredibly open with their whole process, which is so rare. We spent the morning going over everything from inquiry to delivering a gallery. This was our first session of the day. Their house was so beautiful! They most ideal house with excellent light. It was so fun seeing how BreAnne, Alyssa and Kenny posed this family all throughout the house. We started with soft indoor light and eventually went outside to work in harsh light. Being a photographer who can work in every kind of light with ease is the kind of photographer I hope to be. Thanks to this workshop, it’s getting a lot easier to be confident in all lighting situations.

SURPRISE ENGAGEMENT AT THE RED ROCKS IN UTAH

I went to Utah for the first time in March to attend the Bounce Like A Boss Workshop. I can’t even describe how incredible it was. It was a two part workshop: one wedding day and one family day. You guys know I don’t shoot weddings, but it was so much fun to photograph something outside of my element. On this shoot at the red rocks, it was a styled engagement shoot but instead surprise! the “groom” proposed to his real life girlfriend! It was so exciting!
